Punt Road Oval on Police lockdown
« on: June 21, 2010, 11:05:02 AM »
3aw just said the workers at the Punt Rd Oval construction site have been told to hide in their shed on the site with this gunman on the loose in the MCG/Olympic Park vicinity. No mention of RFC players being at Punt Rd.

Richmond Football Club spokesman Adrian Ceddia confirmed that the Tigers were also confined to their Punt Road Oval headquarters.

Staff had been told to stay inside at "9.30-10ish", and by 11.48am had not been given the all-clear to go outside. But Mr Ceddia was convinced whatever potential threat there was had passed.

"There's no action around here, so I think it's moved on from here," he said.
