Police officer who investigated said there were allegations of threat if the charges went through, apparently from within the force lmao

The "Allegations" aren't going to go away....now.

Maybe soon we will have to change the term to "sex offenders" or even worse

Let's speak to the woman involved.

I'd love to see justice served and these two little sociopaths thrown in the can
not to mention the scumbag club being exposed for the law perverting, sunurban bogan club it is and always will be.

You'd reckon if he wasn't guilty there'd be outrage amongst his club, family, friends (if he has any)
But there's deathly silence  :shh

Two St Kilda AFL footballers have been re-interviewed by police over rape allegations, but will have to wait up to two weeks to learn whether charges will be laid.

Stephen Milne, 24, and Leigh Montagna, 20, spent two-and-a-half hours being questioned at Melbourne's Victoria Police Centre over rape claims made earlier this month.

Dressed in a dark suit and light shirt with no tie, Milne walked into the police centre through the main entrance about 10.30am (AEST), flanked by his lawyer George Defteros.

Montagna, dressed in a blue shirt and trousers, arrived on foot with his lawyer about 20 minutes later, and was ushered in by police through the side door of the building.

The pair made no comment to reporters on arrival at the police centre, nor when they left together about 1pm (AEST).

Their lawyers both emphatically denied their clients had done anything wrong and said the outcome of police investigations would be known in the next couple of weeks.

"We are very happy with the way things have progressed so far," Mr Defteros told reporters after the pair were questioned.

"The boys have cooperated with the police investigations to date and will await the outcome of that investigation.

"No charges have been laid ... we anticipate we will hear something in the next couple of weeks.

"Clearly, this sort of investigation on a high-profile client is very difficult but we believe the correct outcome will be arrived at in due course."

I wonder why

Police this month confirmed they were investigating rape claims against Milne and Montagna, following claims made by two women about an incident after the club's family day last month.

St Kilda chief executive Brian Waldron today issued a statement from the club, saying the club had "recently learned from the Victoria Police that no timings have been decided on of a decision in relation to the recent allegations against Stephen Milne and Leigh Montagna".

"The St Kilda Football Club has always been cooperative and respectful of this legal process and as soon as the club has been formally notified of the decision from Victoria Police, the club will submit a statement and until then no further comments will be made," Mr Waldron said.

Milne has played all five games this season and kicked three goals in Saturday's 65-point win over the Kangaroos, while Montagna has made one senior appearance since the investigation started.

Police deputy media director Charles Morton said yesterday the “extremely serious” allegations raised by Mr Gladman had not been raised with the force’s Ethical Standards Department (ESD) in the six years since the rape allegations were first raised.

“If they had been then they would have been investigated as a matter of priority because we will not tolerate inappropriate behaviour,” he said......

unless we elect to ignore it,of course.

Morton is a rat!

A police probe into the allegations is as good as putting Yogi in charge of the cookie jar lol
Has to be an independent investigation and not by the police
