Who gets the job on Goodes?
« on: June 30, 2010, 07:38:51 PM »
Goodes has owned us in recent history although he's been out of touch this year. Who should get the job on him this week?

Goodes has a habit of saving his best for Richmond in recent seasons.

Since 2006 he has averaged 20 disposals and almost two goals a game against the Tigers.

In the corresponding match in Round 21 last year he produced 25 disposals and four goals, and his 224 SuperCoach points was the highest score of the year.

He's been out of touch, but also played a lot less on the ball and a lot more inside the F50.

If he plays fwd and Moore is fit, I'd probably put him on Goodes and Thursfield on White.

If Goodes goes into the middle, I'd be tempted to go head-to-head by playing Deledio on him. Goodes won't have the engine having played so little through the middle this season.

Is it 8 rounds or 8 weeks that McGuane have to be on the LTIL to elevate Gourdis?

McGuane wont play again this season if it is 8 matches.

Nah.. a few years ago in Adel -v- the Crows, we got thumped by 80-90 odd points

It was pathetic

McGuane wont play again this season if it is 8 matches.

Hislop is already on the LTIL and you can nominate a rookie without any injuries after Round 11
This means we can elevate 2 rookies at the moment if we want and there is mail that Gourdis already has been

Loved Moore's grab over the uglyfugger and overall thought Goodes was pretty quiet aside from the 3rd quarter where he could have put us away.
