Roger Dean was a dead-set Tiger champion. Tambling would be lucky to be remembered as the next Michael Laffy. And I reckon the figure is closer to 90% of Tiger fans who reckon he's no good, if the many supporters I've spoken to are any indication.
X, I believe it was you on the official Richard Tambling thread who said that he's performing a role in the team that many fans can't necessarily see, but Dimma is pleased with. But when asked by another poster to explain exactly what that role is as you see it, you didn't offer a reply.
Because mate, I've watched him closely over the years struggle as an onballer, a crumbing forward, and a rebounding half-back flanker, and for the life of me I can't see what his value to the team is.
For the most part I reckon he just jogs along beside the contest like a police escort. And apart from a few social games, mostly for Punt Road End, I've never played footy in my life, if that's in any way relevant.
