Edwards tried to do a bit too much in his early days in the senior side as well. He kept getting caught but they kept playing him and over time he's learnt what he can get away with. For example that spin move Connors put on a couple of weeks ago directly resulted in a fantastic chain of play that ended up in a goal.
I'd say the coaches would be encouraging the players to take the game on and create as these are the moves that can break through a defence. As long as they are trying to achieve things that are within the scope of the game plan then I don't have a massive problem with it.

whats of interest that his best mate aint doing the team things either ;)

Jack..who is his best mate?

i see someone said it is Riewoldt...is that who you are referring to?  If so, why do you say not doing the team things...cos of the couple of attempts to kick miraculous goals off the ground ?

RICHMOND - In the Mix

Andrew Collins was a late withdrawal with a corked thigh on Sunday, but debutant Robbie Hicks did well as his replacement, ands coach Damien Hardwick has tended to give players at least a couple of weeks once selected. Ruckman Angus Graham could be due for a rest, which would mean Tyrone Vickery will get a run, while Alex Rance, Robin Nahas (in the midfield) and defender David Gourdis all did well at Coburg.

3aw news said there'll likely be no changes this week. They said Dimma said at training this morning that Collins, Vickery and Gourdis are in the mix but it'll be hard to change a winning team.

Richmond set to name unchanged side

Richmond could take an unchanged side into Sunday's AFL match against Melbourne as they try to continue their improved form in the second half of the season.

The Tigers are coming off a win over Adelaide and are now two games clear of last spot, while the Demons are making an unlikely bid for the top eight with four rounds left.

Coach Damien Hardwick said at training on Thursday that Andrew Collins, Ty Vickery and David Gourdis are all pushing for senior recalls, but it will be tough to change the team.

"We are wanting to get guys into the side, but it is a good situation to be in because guys in the side have played well," Hardwick said.

"There will be limited changes this week, if any."
