5. Brisbane: select Dyson "Charlie" Heppell. Gippsland Power 187cm and 80kgs.

A Great Kick who spent alot of time on the HBF in the last 12 months but before then was more a midfielder than a flanker. Fantastic leadership and some spectacular games in the TAC Cup. Real good overhead as well. Brisbane are happy to start the rebuild with the selection of Dyson Heppell.

You should resign for destroying our recruiting Torch. Aw Sorry Torch just saw its Popelord whose picking our players. Lets wait for him to make the selection before we take cowardly and disgraceful pot shots at his selections.  ;D

Pick 6 Richmond:
Andrew Gaff.

With Apologise to Sean Atley, Gaff was expected to go @ Pick 4 but has slipped. Richmond need outside mids and Atley is your quintessential outside mid. Not as big as Atley but with Grigg and Houli coming to the club this year size isn't a number 1 priority and Gaff has edged out Atley only just.

Andrew Gaff
Height: 182cm
Weight: 78kg
DOB: 16/06/92
Recruited from: Oakleigh Chargers (Vic)

Left-footer with a terrific game sense; imposes himself on games and has good pace and endurance combination.
All-Australian team member in the 2010 NAB AFL Under-18 Championships, where he averaged 27 disposals at 79 per cent efficiency.

pick #7 - Gold Coast - Shaun Atley

for a new team its important to develop the middle. had trouble between caddy & atley. Shaun Atley is a good Wodonga boy. by all account tough, hard and has great leadership... would look great in the yellow and black. solid in both middle / half back.

No baseball bat needed this year :lol. I'd be very happy if Gaff slips to our pick although comparisons to a young Judd on BF are a bit premature.

You wouldn't know it was compromised draft if you just based it on the kids available in the top 10.

Ge I wanted Atley, the guy could be a superstar but Gaff is the safest bet. Atley has a stronger core but Gaff will cover more ground, the new interchange rule had a big effect.

Atley in burst but Gaff over the journey.

Both will be fantastic players.

Nup gun mid with a big engine. He'll get the ball out, dish out and then run on to receive back and then use his burst to explode away.

It would've been a great draft to tank for picks 4 and 6  ;)  :whistle :outtahere

Dyson Heppell - 187cm 79Kg:

Take 2:

Josh Caddy (Northern Knights, Vic)
Height: 186cm, Weight: 81kg, DOB:28/09/92

Powerful player who wins clearances and contested marks and a dangerous forward who attacks the ball aggressively. Won the "clean hands test" at the Draft camp with Heppel with a score of 28/30. Also finished in the top 10 in the 3km time trial. Made the All-Australian U18 All Australian team in 2010

Pick 8 : Essendon:

Dyson Heppell - 187cm 79Kg:

With so many areas with holes the Bumblings are trying to address one of their biggest weaknesses = mid field by selecting Heppell. Positive results at the Draft camp in the following categories "Clean Hand Test" - scored 28/30 tying with Josh Caddy in first as well as coming third in the "running vertical jump" with a recored jump of 86cm. Won the 2010 Morrish Medal. Is considered to have good leadership qualities. Can also play of the HB Flank
