Maybe it was the little stint in the "twos" he had last year.....maybe he didn't like it .

I like it and wouldn't object to that at all.

I just fear the club will throw him another foley type 3 year deal only for us to be talking about it again in 2018

1 year deal is a good incentive based contract
Currently a member of the Roupies, and employed by the great man Roup.

I think he's finally playing some good footy the "Richmond way".
But with these types of players you'll never know if its just because he's up for contract.
I wouldn't take the risk with him but offer a trade whilst his currency is high. If there's no takers or a suitable deal can't be arranged then offer him 2 years max.

Remember we really need to find a ruck/forward, a couple of key backs, a genuine goal sneak & a couple more quality mids.
We've got to keep building quality.

looks good running in a forward direction - when the team is up by 5 goals

can only carry so many of these types, will get exposed in finals (again, again, again)

Should henceforth only ever be offered one year at a time. I'd still rather just pee him off though.

Been our best shut down player all year - 4th in tackles.

i would argue he has not been good as a tagger

and being chosen as the tagger by overlord hardwick, does not necessarily men he is the "best shut down player" option

Kept Selwood to nothing until they moved Grigg off him in the last and then Selwood turned it on.

Might not be the best option. I'd actually argue that Hunt would be. Doesn't mean he hasn't done the role well.

I don't think we can afford to keep playing both Hunt & Grigg in the long run and I'd rather play Hunt as the tagger because of his extra pace and he at least still works hard when things are not going our way.

I wanted Hunt but he really hasn't impressed me playing in the backline. I agree, give him a spell in the middle and see how he goes and if he does better than Grigg then we'll all be happy :thumbsup

hunt is so far ahead of grigg - IMHO

he 'hunts' players when they have the ball to tackle them

where as grigg put his digits up his bum and gets a newspaper

I have always thought that players like Grigg and Houli will be great when things are going your way but will not be the ones to help dig you out  of a hole.

but at least houli is silky and exotic

where as grigg is a bit of a plodder
