Travis Cloke
« on: October 11, 2010, 11:58:47 AM »
David Cloke on Trade Week radio said he hasn't been contracted about Travis as his manager so 99% certain nothing will happen. However if a new deal with Collingwood can't be done by the end of this week then Travis will head into the draft.

PSD?

Gold Coast obviously as well as has been rumoured.

And on cue here's DeepThroat on BF:....

David Cloke has just let the cat out of the bag, PSD draft pick for us, Carlton are trying short circuit it, we have offerred him a 3 yr deal. Carlton and collingwood have found out what we were trying to do, no money in the pies salary cap. It all depends on today with houli will determine what we do.

Hutchy just said Blues don't have the picks to do a deal in 2 hours. Pies don't have the cash to move. Talk of real disenchantment. The Pies have misread this and the severity of it. Barrett reckons from what David Cloke said that Travis is movable and he could be off to the National draft or PSD.

If true to form Damir is just grandstanding to get more $$$ out of Collingwood. Travis was on an inflated contract after his B&F so the Pies are now offering a reduced contract of around $400k a year according to Hutchy.

I don't really want him
Although it would be nice to get him and then just trade him at the end of next year for draft picks

Would West Coast overlook him for PSD #1?

Good call, be strange for him to be missed by GC or WCE.

Don't want him either. Not bad on the lead, takes a pretty good grab but in front of goal he is like a drunk man on a cruise ship.

Cloke and Riewoldt would be a superb combo IMHO.

You guys are letting emotion get in the way of a fantastic opportunity. Cloke is 23 yo with 10 years infront of him. He is a CHF which we dont have and if you stick Griffiths on a stuff. Its a forward line that could destroy opposition defences in the future.

Would be sweet irony if we get Cloke jnr for free after he walks out of Collingwood. Mirror image of dad 28 years ago.
