Do you think he deserved his suspensions?

I think Daniel Jackson is terrific.

Sure he has a dodgy kick but he is a real enforcer and we need his big body.He is also the best tagger we have had since Ducan Kellaway.

The suspensions were annoying but at the same time I like fact he took Hayden Ballantyne out of commission.May of won us that particular game.

Cant understand why some folk have him as the "new whipping boy".

5 from me, does good, then does bad.

Good thing about him is how professional he is and how hard he works. Hope it rubs off on the (more skillful) kids and makes then earn a spot over him in the near future.
And you may not think I care for you

Does some good things and does some bad things. His tackling and his toughness are good attributes but his kicking really lets him down. Not a good kick for goal

Gave him a 5 certainly think many do not appreciate his true value to the team. Tough as nails under the clinches and often performs well when the team is down (rd 19 v Melb. for example) showing he is not a downhill skier. However, did let the team down with his suspensions and his brain fades and poor disposals can cause fans minor heart attacks. Hope that as our outside mid class improves these mistakes will be greatly reduced as he feeds these guys the balls to deliver forward.

A key player for us.
That in itself is a concern
I'm sure Jackson can play a role in the side for us moving forward, however while he remains a key player we won't go anywhere

An interesting year by Daniel

At certain times he was very good and at other times he was poor. His disposal by foot lets him down alot especially the times when he is under little pressure. But his attack on the footy is great as his strength which means he one of only a few players on our list whos tackles seem to stick

But the most disappointing thing for mine were the brain fades that led to the suspensions.

Whether the penalties fitted the "crime" is irrelevant. Bottom line for me at least is he is a leader at the Club (in the leadership group) and leaders have do better than that, they need to set the example and getting rubbed out twice in a season showed a lack of leadership IMHO

Tough bugger and important for the NOW in terms of body strength and leadership.
However he's just a footballer. Poor skills and decision making will see him upgraded in the next couple of seasons.

AS others have said very hard and tough, constantly getting in and under packs, but this just sums him up;

Quote
Instinct for Jacko is just jumping on the ball when it's there. He has no instincts so he'd rather be told exactly what he has got to do. Not less fun as it takes the stress away being someone who jumps on it and gives it to someone else who has an idea what to do with it

If Hardwick's constant drilling of the game plan can increase his efficiency with the ball and/or if skilled by foot buffalo girls like Houli can constantly feed off him so he doesn't  have to kick, he will become a solid contributor to the team - when he's not suspended that is.

“For My thoughts are not your thoughts,
Nor are your ways my ways,” says the Lord.

“For as the heavens are higher than the earth,
So are my ways higher than your ways,
And my thoughts than your thoughts."

I think he was hard done by re: suspensions, but then again do the crime pay the time.
The most bizzare suspension was the c. brown incident.

hard nut in the middle, great engine, tackle count was up- ...i gave him a 6
