Take it easy folks its just a training guernsy. I'm assuming it would be for match simulations and drills when they split into groups and it helps differentiate them. I'm sure nobody would buy the red one but I can see why it has been made.

Or

Maybe the red is for the clubs designated whipping boy at training. Have a bad game and you have to wear the red like a dunce hat. We could call it "McMahon Red"  :lol

The Richmond Football Club has announced an exciting new partnership with Australian-owned apparel brand KooGa.

For the next four years, KooGa will be the official on-field apparel partner of the Tigers.

“We are thrilled to be partnering with KooGa - a dynamic and progressive organisation which is passionate and innovative in the sports apparel industry,” said Richmond’s CEO Brendon Gale.

“KooGa have demonstrated a real commitment to working with our players and coaching staff to ensure we get the best products to meet their needs.  We have released a limited launch range today and look forward to unveiling further products to our members and supporters shortly.”

The KooGa brand is currently involved with several AFL and NRL clubs, as well as five national Rugby Union teams, including the Wallabies.

“We are very excited to be partnering with a big, traditional AFL club such as the Richmond Football Club, and we look forward to a rewarding, successful partnership in the coming years, with the Tigers on the rise,” KooGa CEO Tyron Brant said.

“KooGa set out to revolutionise the way contact football gear was made, inspired by its vision to not only create a better product, but to genuinely enhance the athletic performance of every player and every team that wears the KooGa brand,” Brant said.

Members and supporters can purchase the new 2011 KooGa products at Tiger Den online store or by calling 9426 4419 early in 2011.

WHO IS KOOGA

Established in Queensland in 2000, KooGa is 100% Australian-owned-and-operated.

Quality stuff IMHO. Koogas rugby stuff was always top notch, so I am hopeful that this will be good too.

The off-centre tiger head on the training jersey is a masterstroke, the previous incarnation looked very bland, but they've been able to add a bit of swirly noise to jazz it up.

I like the fact that our sash is straight, Essendons bows severely and their players look obese..

I'd like to think we could improve our alternative guernsey. The best change guernseys IMHO are Fremantle and Port, where the change jumper is the simple negative of the home jumper. When you try and go just a little away from the first strip (e.g. St Kilda, Essendon) , it ends up looking half-baked. When you try get too clever (e.g. Brisbane), it just looks silly. For me our alternative guernsey should be a white background with a half-yellow, half-black sash.

I'm not the greatest fan of the big tiger head on the guernsey although I know the Club sees it as a strong branding image for us. I'd prefer our logo underneath the would-be sponsor badge. Apart from that I really like design of the yellow and black NAB/training jumpers.

Take it easy folks its just a training guernsy. I'm assuming it would be for match simulations and drills when they split into groups and it helps differentiate them. I'm sure nobody would buy the red one but I can see why it has been made.
Exactly tiga. Better than having to waste time putting on flimsy little red or green singlets everytime there's a match-based drill at training.

Maybe the red is for the clubs designated whipping boy at training. Have a bad game and you have to wear the red like a dunce hat. We could call it "McMahon Red"  :lol
;D

Is that the red you have before or after the tomatoes are thrown? lol

I'd be much more enthusiastic if there was a major sponsor's logo on the jumpers

While a 4 year apparel deal is nice. it's the major sponsor(s) we need.

To be honest I hate the red even it is only a training jumper and don't mind the NAB cup jumper and am not to keen on the yellow one

No away Jumper?  :-[

We don't have and "away jumper", Nor should we

We have a clash strip that we wear against about 3 teams (Bombers, Port and  ??? ) It will be interesting to see if they change the clash one... I wouldn't be seeing the members voted for it  ;D
