Would think if they can get a good trade deal from him (late 2nd rounder or early 3rd rounder) they'd do that sort of deal
Hasn't quite come on as hoped, had a lot of promise. If they could get what you've said that would be some effort considering he was drafted as a 3rd rounder (IIRC)?

Only 21 yoa.

Another that it'd be better to keep.

They may still keep him all depends on what's on offer doesn't it?

he's not an "untouchable"

If GWS, Melbourne or the Bulldogs were to offer their 3 round draft pick for him the club would be crazy not to consider it

2nd round would be perfect

But just thinking their 3rd rounders are clsoe to our 2nd round pick  ;D

I would. Newer recruits have gone past him. Always injured and has contributed zip. May as well get the pick back we spent on him, reload and try again.

You're a third rounder.

Big bodied? Thought he was still skinny.

I'd give him another year. Good skills. Otherwise a wasted investment unless we get a good pick.

I don't rate 3rd rounders.

Don't rate these at all?

Matty Arnott, Luke McGuane, Bachar Houli (was a 3rd rounder when picked by Essendon)

A few from other clubs:

Nathan Vardy (Geelong)
Rory Sloane (adel)
Ben Stratton (Hawks)
Sam Reid (Syd)

And what about 4th rounders? Ryan O'Keffe of Sydney an absolute gun player he was a 4th rounder

Plenty of gems out there just have to find them and more importantly be able to develop them

Still, the chances of finding a player like that in the 3rd round aren't great.

Combination of research, development and luck. However Richmond had improved in that regard so who knows...?

Helbig is not skinny. His form warranted games as did McBean (Lonergan, Grigg, Pettard, McGaune, Aaron Edwards). List management has been poor and I fear for the future evolution of the list under Hardwick and co.
