We have a great little indian restaurant in our area called Taj Tandoori on Glenhuntly road opposite elsternwick train station ...mmm  :thumbsup

Annabelles in VicAve/Bridport - whatever - is good for cakes.
And for the piece de resistance - Acland Street - Monarch Cakes - the best kugelhof in the land lol
Seems to be a theme with me hey - cakes and muffins lol

I wouldn't go as far as saying it's my favourite but one I often go to near work is Brunetti's (yeah yuppieville  :shh). Alot of their cakes are too sweet for my taste but the biscotti neapolean and baci rings along with a hot/ice chocolate depending on the weather are very nice.

Although I haven't been there in a while, for muffin lovers out there  ;) Brown's bakery in Lygon Street use to make good ones. 

Does La Porchetta's count as a take away?  :)
