Providing one of Qantas' engines doesn't conk out mid Pacific, the Oprah circus is next week
I bet you're all excited  :lol

Post your impressions

I actually think it's a good tourism move, but not sure if it has much other value, although I did apply for tickets lol

Who?
“For My thoughts are not your thoughts,
Nor are your ways my ways,” says the Lord.

“For as the heavens are higher than the earth,
So are my ways higher than your ways,
And my thoughts than your thoughts."

Yahweh? or the great Clawski?

It's a unique tourism advertising campaign
Whether you like Oprah or not, and I can take her or leave her, it's a very good idea and will be interesting the figures they get as a result, whether it increases tourism or not.

I can see some real positives from a tourism perspective. Despite what you think of her, her opinion is valued by millions around the world and if She says Australia is a wonderful place to visit then they will do so.  This woman could sell stools to a sewer farm
Every product she endorses on her program makes a fortune from the exposure so Australia would be no different. We are just another product on her show and Tourism here in Australia will benefit for sure.

If you were to put a 30 second advert on prime time US television, how much would it cost?
This is costing $3 million or thereabouts which has a worldwide audience
Damn smart  :thumbsup

Spot on tiga. It's a mass advertisement for Australia

"Oprah produces and hosts The Oprah Winfrey Show through Harpo Productions, Inc. It is seen by an estimated 23 million viewers a week in the United States, broadcast internationally in 107 countries, and is the highest-rated talk show in television history."
