Summary

* Wasn't too bad a run with Rance and Houli close by. First time Houli ran it.

* Yesterday wasn't Whitey's BP. Two years ago Jacko ran 12m 36s and he ran 12m 37s.

* Normally have Connors and Jacko to run with and pace each other. Gets competitive and tactical with Daniel.

* 12 months on there's a better understanding of how Damien wants us how to play. Miller brought in for leadership in the midfield and up forward.

* Can't wait to get into the new facilities at ME Bank Centre. Top of the range.

* Does feel like something is about to emerge around the club. Supporters have stuck by us the whole time. Hope they can see the little improvements we see around the club. Hopefully the sleeping giant awakes soon.

* Collo is a very good young player. Disappointing to lose him but we got Grigg in as an exchange. A big body inside/outside mid so you can't complain about that.

* Personally Matty wants to improve his field kicking and have more composure with the ball. Not rush things and fumble. He knows when he has more time with the ball he can hit targets inside 50 and set up guys like Jack.

* Jack has come back lighter; is moving well; you can't fault him. Came back from Ireland and has fitted right back in. Much louder when he is around at training. Goes up a few decibels.

* Substitution will rule out a 2nd ruckman. You'll play one ruckman with help from a forward. It hasn't been trialed yet. Hoping he isn't a sub either.

* Foley came back into training with the main squad yesterday and moved extremely well. He's been on the backburner and it's be a slow annoying process according to Axel. He grew an extra leg yesterday and flying around the track.

* One to look out for - Pat Contin. Blown me away. He's come back fit, running very well and getting plenty of footy in the midfield.

* NZ trip - Brings all guys together. Stuck in mini-buses for 4-5 hours today. You get to talk to more and learn more about the guys you don't know as well.

na not that dedicated. was in melb recently on 3 different occasions for various reasons. always pop down to punt rd when there. spoke to the boys the day after they came back from nz. it was a rest day but pat and westhoff decided on a light run.

I didnt ask if you thought he would improve, just what he would need to achieve for you to change your mind, or is changing your opinion something that will never happen?
