all it does is push the price of accommodation up for the opening round of the footy
“For My thoughts are not your thoughts,
Nor are your ways my ways,” says the Lord.

“For as the heavens are higher than the earth,
So are my ways higher than your ways,
And my thoughts than your thoughts."

Could not care less. The novelty has worn off.
This is what happens when the Melbourne Sydney, Melbourne Adelaide rivalry has run its race.
We end up with a white elephant that costs the taxpayer.
Bring on 2015.

I think we should keep it, but if Bernie keeps putting up the annual fee it makes it pretty hard to make a case for
Shame as it's one of the biggest international sporting events in the country and there are plenty of countries lining up to take our spot, clearly that's for a reason

i don't like the sport  and do believe we are over it as a state, but this whole it cost taxpayers is one big croc.

What they don't tell you is how much benefit the hotels, restaurants, transport, get for that whole week not to mention all the marketing Melbourne, Australia get

Its not a complete loss and i would think if anything we break even in the overall scheme of things.

Maybe to boost appeal, for the celeb race this year they should show Warney driving Liz's turd-cutter.

Should be run on the old Indy circuit at the Gold Coast on a Sunday night to please the Europeans.

Would be some spectacle that, right up there with Monaco, Singapore, Dubai, Abu Dhabi etc

The F1 Grand Prix should undoubtedly be kept as long as it continues to bring international exposure to Melbourne, which is vital to our tourism industry. Would be happy to see it moved to Phillip Island though, just so long as we don't lose it!
Push up!

I don't care much for it, but you have to replace it with something I guess.

What do you mean Gerks?? It's already happening. I saw it first hand the other night on the Great Western Highway. I think The Rexy took the Chocolates but the GTR was starting to catch up once his supercharger kicked in.
