Mitch Morton - 2011 expectations?
« on: March 02, 2011, 08:07:39 PM »
Next up is Morton after a season out and in the side where he's worked on becoming a midfielder rather than just a midsized forward.

What are your expectations for Mitch in 2011 and what would be a good year for him?

Anything less than a top 5 in the B&F would be below par for mine.

Something has twigged in Mitch's brain. He looks more like a leader now, rather than a flashy 'Alan Jakovich' type.

Subject to/barring injury

22 games for mine, plenty of time as a mid-fielder with a bit of pinch hitting up forward

And wouldn 't be at all surprised if he ends up in the leadership group - that's how far I reckon come on as a leader to the younger blokes. The work he's put in with Taylor for example is a credit to him

Agree with this entirely. Always had the talent but more focussed and he's finally a happy Tiger.
The hard yards @ Coburg in 2011 will pay off big time and MM will have a massive influence for us in 2011.

22 games, 32 goals and an influential midfield/forward role.
Mitch has come of age.
