Japan and NZ are on the major fault lines where tectonic plates meet so major earthquakes are expected sadly.

I guess with all these earthquakes around the Pacific, people on the San Andreas would be feeling nervous. It'll happen one day, just a matter of time I'm sadly thinking

 :lol

Didn't god make man in his own image?

Yet last week you told us in his eyes all of mankind were sinners?

Now he is going to unleash Armageddon on those he made in his own image?

He must be one stuffed up dude.

“For My thoughts are not your thoughts,
Nor are your ways my ways,” says the Lord.

“For as the heavens are higher than the earth,
So are my ways higher than your ways,
And my thoughts than your thoughts."

God gave man a choice. Man chose and continues to choose self interest.

The bible tells who has sinned: for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God,Romans 3:23

The bible tells us what are the consequences of sin: For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life in Geez Geez our Lord.Romans 6:23

The bible tells us the way to escape the consequences of sin: "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life.John3:16

Are there many roads to God? According to the bible the answer is NO: For there is one God, and there is one mediator between God and men, the man Geez Geez,1 Timothy 2:5
and And there is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved."Acts 4:12
Geez said it Himself: Geez said to him, "I am the way, and the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.John14:6

Choose Him and Live.

Nuclear plant operator Tokyo Electric Power Co (TEPCO) says radiation levels around the quake-damaged plant have risen above the safety limit, and the government is warning that meltdowns may have possibly occurred at two reactors.

Not sure how pointing out perceived contradictions is rubbish talk but i agree that everyone is entitled to an opinion, just as any post on any subject by any person opens itself up for a reply. It wasn't me that dragged religion into this, I just voiced my opinion in reply.

I began by replying to what Dan had said about how everything is getting worse.
I then replied to Al's question and opinion of God.
I'm sure this isn't the first or last time a thread has gone slightly off topic. But I will consider your idea on a dedicated Bible thread if you like.  :thumbsup

Daniel, Orthodoxy or Eastern Orthodoxy or Eastern Christianity is still Christianity. There aint alot of real difference between the Catholics and those of us in the Orthodox churches. Just clarifying it because the Prime Minister has also lumped us in with others and its factually incorrect and gives a wrong impression.Thats all. :cheers
