Richmond's tsunami team effort
22 January 2005   Herald Sun

It's hard to say smile when you are thinking of the tsunami victims, but Richmond is offering 60 fans a chance to be in a team photograph, with the $200 for each photo going to the aid effort. Jumping at the chance to rub shoulders with their Tiger heroes as they sport the club's new Wizard Cup jumpers are Lisa Davies, Sean Hunter and Cindy Davies.

Although $200 for a photo is a fair hike for the average supporter, it's still good to see the Club show initiative and make its own unique contribution to the tsunami appeal.

i think that $200 is more than reasonable to get your photo taken with the team.

I will be ringing up first thing tomorrow and hopin that i can do it.

Thats on the basis that you actually get your photo taken with the team and its not superimposed at a later date.

that i will not pay for.

But i think it would be a great piece of personal memorabillia to add to my collection

Details from the RFC site:

Stand alongside the Tigers in the Tsunami relief effort!
11:10:44 AM Mon 24 January, 2005
richmondfc.com.au

Richmond Football Club is giving passionate Tiger supporters a unique opportunity to help raise much needed funds for the Tsunami relief effort.

In the lead up to the 2005 Wizard Cup opening round clash between Richmond and Collingwood, the Club is offering you the chance to be photographed with the full squad in their Wizard Cup playing strip on Sunday, February 13 at 12.30pm.

The Tigers are asking individual supporters to contribute $200. They are also extending a special offer to families (up to SIX people) for a contribution of $500. For this generosity, each participant or family will receive one photo personally signed by Terry Wallace and replica signatures of all the players.

Money raised from the photo shoot will go directly to World Vision as part of the AFL’s contribution to the appeal. Tiger coach Terry Wallace said, ‘We urge all Tiger supporters to get behind this worthy cause.’

This offer is strictly limited to 60 photos, so register now by completing the form below or contacting Rita Farrugia on (03) 9426 4414. Payment must be received in full prior to confirmation of your place in the photo shoot. Times will be allocated by the Club and cannot be changed.

Jacko was 187cm 87kg at the start of last year LT. Not sure if and by how much he has grown since then.

I had my photo taken with the boys today.

It was a good tuen out, all spots were filled and i think the players managed to raise just over $10,000

I got to sit between Terry and Sugar, and wore the Silver Top jumper. The players were very receptive to all people involved and while i was there everyone got a great cheer from the players as they came and left from having their photo taken.

It was a great opportunity and i am looking forward to getting my photo.

Well i finally picked up my team photo before the Carlton Game, i have scanned the actually photo to post it on here. The photo is mounted on a printed surround which contains all of the players signatures(printed) and is personally signed by Terry.

I have to organise to get it framed properly.

Here it is

Click on the photo to enlarge.
