let you into a secret re Flying Start.
They have been running this "'scholarship squad "" for kids say 12-14.
It includes 4 sessions with the likes of Nick Riewoldt etc.
Charge parents $2000 for the experience
They have 200 kids attend. =$400,000 in the coffers.
Good rort I say. Players get $2000 a session for turning up

I don't get your point
People are happy to pay this, they provide the service, who's losing out here?

Well, its made me reconsider and put more in.

Made me proud that the all in the club were putting their money where there mouth is.

Did anyone read the the article on our recruiting back  when we had no money. Having a  recruiter  who was coaching local footy on Saturdays would have been a tough gig.

I think what Jack is getting at that: the more success generated from the influx of money into the football department means an increase in player salaries resulting in more money in the agent,s pocket.
a donation to the fund by the players managers sounds like a good investment to me.

Except the problem with that argument is that player managers get very very little % from their client's AFL salary. This is understandable as all they do for this cut is the negotiation process with the club (or seeking out offers from other clubs)
Their big bucks are from where they go out and seek advertising (or similar) jobs for them. They are the ones who found that work for them so they take a bigger cut.
