When I decided to be a Tiger Ma Powell told me about a lady she used to work with, who loved the Tigers so much she started the Clubs cheersquad.

The lady's name was Alice Wills

A great lady is Alice Wills  :thumbsup

Which club first had a cheer squad?

We did I believe

Lol we invented everything

Not the cheer girls.  That was Carlscum with the Bluebirds back in '80ish, we followed next season with the Tigerettes I believe.

We invented the oval ball and the drop punt
hhhaaarrgghhh hhhhaaarrggghhh hhhhaaaarrrggghh

Yes smokey and then the pies followed with th "maggettes"
Froars, most tigers fans have a right to be grumpy  ;D
Absolutely!!
I'll forgive her because she's done so much, but you wouldn't want to get on the wrong side of her lol

Ma Powell always called her Miss Wills (she was my Mum's supervisor) so that's how I was introduced to her. I still call her Miss Wills   ;D
"Oh yes I am a dreamer, I still see us flying high!"
