FTF - What ideas do you have to raise money for the club???

As the title reads what ideas do you have? Feel free to post legitimate ideas or just the plain ridiculous...


My first idea is a legitimate one (unless it sounds stupid in which has I meant it as a laugh..  ) -





Idea # 1 - FTF Big Day Out!

Invite the Richmond faithful (and anyone else for that matter) to Punt Road for the event. Have bands playing, highlight movies playing on big screens, signing booths, competitions, 'dunk a player' stands, silent auctions for signed jumpers/tours/visit to rooms/coaches address etc, jumping castles, food stalls, presentions of prizes from coaches/admin/players for big donations, sausage sizzles, tours of the new facilities etc

Entry Cost : $50 (Adult), $20 (Concession/Child) and $120 (Family).

The club can also grab a take of the money raised from food, rides etc on top.

I feel people will be more happy to part with $50 plus if they know it is 1) going to the club FTF and 2) they get something for their money (entertainment, meet players, tour of facilities etc).

Just an idea of course. If the event can't be held at Punt Road due to works it can be held at another venue with tours given away as door prizes or for another small donation (is this pushing the friendship ???)






Idea # 2 - Ex Recruiters and Coaches in stocks!

Erect a set of medieval stocks and rotate every recruiter or ex coach through them for varying lengths of time depending on their errors, deceptions etc. Richmond supporters are welcome to choose between delivering a kick up the ass or throw rotten tomatoes.

Cost: $10 a kick, $15 a tomato (Please note that the club will take bookings for particular figures such as TW who will attract big numbers!!!)

Idea #3 - Facilities Tour Night

Players escort small groups of supporters through the new facilites and finish at the new social club where they are given a meal/finger food while listening to admin staff, players or Richmond personalities for an hour at the tour completion.

Can be conducted throughout season.

Cost: $100

Idea #4 - One Eye Tiger Calendar

The OE Poster come together for a photo shoot with OE himself drapped suductively over a Tigerskin covered only in strategically placed team photos as Jan, MT only holding a Tigers footy as Feb, Jackstar carressing a picture of TW as March ....well you get the idea 

Cost  - ????

Maybe we could fund a holiday for her to the Middle East and the money we save on the return flight and her sale could become a handle donation too

I have to say the other week at the gala dinner I was staggered they didn't offer some more auction items

There are a number of things they could have offered that would raised good $$$ and literally cost the club $0.00.

Eg a day in the coaches box, travel with the team interstate (airfares not included) but you stay at the hotel, travel to thte game etc

I really like those ideas too WP. I would be happy to hand over big cash for a game in the coaches box!!

I think an easy cash could be made with tours of the new facilites, visiting the club rooms during games, even assisting with training (handballing/holding bags etc) or having a player visit your work or child's school.

The trip is also a great idea WP.

We are yet to find out about any future fund raising events/strategies but I think many of these (at least the legitimate ones  ) would be worth at least exploring.
