Tuck wins the game at both ends. Game saving tackle in defence, strong mark and goal up forward.

Final Score

Coburg     7.0    9.2    11.7    16.9-105
Sandy      5.2   10.5    12.7    16.12-108

Goals: Carnell 4, Nason 3, Miller 3, Tuck 2, Contin 2, Post, Lawton

Miller punching it out into space with 10 secs to go at that final bounce in Sandy's forward line was very dumb play. If we held it in one more time Coburg would've held on.

I'd still like to know how a free to Sandy between the goal and point post is a shot at goal directly in front  ???. If the Sandy player had to take the normal angle he would've been on an acute angle and wouldn't have been able to play on after the siren.

Mind you Coburg were very dumb at stoppages when 10 points up. We left Sandy's goal side at the stoppages open  :scream. What a choke!  :banghead

RFC players:

Thursty - ordinary first qtr for mine but did his usual solid nullifying role for the rest of the game.
Miller - contested well across HF bringing the ball down which created opportunties for our smalls at ground level. Brainfade in defence with 10 secs to go.
Tucky - typical Tucky game. In hard in close and found plenty of the ball. Still bombs his kicks which is why he is out of the senior side.
Gourdis - Solid defensively but his kicking as we know lets him down.
Browne - best RFC player. Dominant big man on the ground.
Postie - had a bit of shocker for mine as his brain was 5 secs behind his body for most of the day. A fair few basic brainfades today. That speckie in the last was a rare time he did something right.
Dea - did some nice things in the second half but didn't notice him a lot.
Hicks - too small and kept falling over.
Webberley - good game after half-time. Got plenty of the ball. Still needs to work on his short passing.
Nason - was pretty good until he hurt his elbow. Came back on but I didn't notice him much in the last.
Grimes - Our best defender for mine in terms of clean spoiling and disposal. Appeared to do the right thing most of the time.
Contin - Didn't notice him that much before half-time but got more into the game as it went on and was probably our most influential in the last quarter.

It's was payed a 50m free kick lol

soft effort by coburg. Sandy had 2 less players on the bench.

Gee, can we not take a trick or what...oh well, never mind.

the standout RFC players for mine were webberley and nason.  Grimes very solid and clean down back.  special mention for Dea who i believe has improved out of sight.  really composed with his decision making and could really see his basketball instincts come to the fore when he has the ball in close.

Our (Coburg's) own fault today. Too many brainfades all day. Once we got 10 points up late in the last quarter we should have closed the game down and maintained possession when we had the ball.
