Last 1/4 free kick - rush behind.
« on: April 01, 2011, 11:36:14 PM »
Please explain how this is a St kilda free kick.

If you are being tackled it does not count as pressure?

Tonight was the worst umpired game I've ever seen.

Gwilt's deliberate out of bounds was horrible.
Holding the ball against all night was a lottery
Morton's Mark disallowed pathetic, how any of the 3 umpires couldn't see it is pathetic.
McGuanes rushed behind is blatant incorrect interpretation of the rule and the reason why the umpiring industry are hated.

The rushed behindrule is pointless to start with, if your under pressure you can rush it. When does anyone rush a behind that isn't under pressure, you could argue Joel Bowden walking the ball back over the line was under pressure as the man on the mark was running at him. Disgusting rule. Regardless the interpretation of the rule was 100% wrong.
Go Tigers!

Interesting that a St Kilda player handballed a point 3 or 4 minutes later but of course no free kick at goal.

Saints are a joke with no punchline. Effing flacid cocks.

Not even worth existing.

In 12 months time they'll be pushing it to be top 8

I expect an apology from Jeff.

Tonight as good as the officiating was an absolute circus.

56 free kicks, is pathetic
Go Tigers!

If Hayes has done the knee as badly as it looks that may be his career over at 31.
May not make the eight this year.
Think Collingwood, Bulldogs, Geelong, Hawthorn, Sydney, Essendon, Adelaide, Fremantle that's eight before you get to Carlton, North and Melbourne.

Terrible umpiring.
By the letter of the law Luke McGuane was under pressure and he rushed the behind. Where is the breaking of the rules there. To further cloud the issue the tackling player was Archer yet the free was given to RIewoldt because he was closer to the goals than what Archer was. Another grey area.

How was Morton not paid a mark in the third and I just can't think of any more after a combination some quality p1$$ tonight and the current time.

It's these little things that just make people turn off this game of ours due to the lack of comprehension and inconsistencies in interpreting the rules. Maybe just maybe if AA and his cohorts at AFL House try to justify their over inflated salaries by making money for the league rather than changing the rules every few weeks or months we would have an umpiring fraternity that know the rules and a umpiring fraternity that is not as despised as it us. Bring back World of Sport and What's Your Decision lets see how they justify it. ::) :-\ >:(

We should as a Club make a formal complaint to Giesch. The AFL has continually stated since they brought in the new rule that if your under pressure it's not deliberate.

Add Jason Blake's one arm throw 15m out from our goal in the 3rd quarter which wasn't paid along with Fisher from memory placing the ball on the turf when tackled. Last I knew both should be obvious frees against for illegal disposal  ::).
