We were always going to be small down back, unless Thursfield came in as well. Connors on Franklin......not such a bad idea actually, he has the aerobic capabilities to go with him, great leap, good strength, not a bad call actually...if it happens.

i think you have been stuck in those mines for too long.

Connors is slow and thats being generous. Buddy will murder him.

Absolutely no way should and will line up on him.

I will like to see us try and win this not attempt things like this or Conca on Burgoyne.

Well not really stuck Daniel and I still enjoy it but thanks for your observation... :thumbsup

Thats fine you obviously see more football than me and that in turn would make you more qualified to comment on a forum.. ;)

I honestly thought he provided quite a bit of run out of the backline and from what I have seen he can break the lines.

But as I said "IF IT HAPPENS"!!!!
DIMMA - You will be held ACCOUNTABLE...

“We are really excited about what we have brought in. We have got great depth of players that can take us where we need to go. We are just putting some cream on the top at the moment,” he said.

"Rucks:
Shaun Hampson is the No.1 man"

[The problem with that though is no one not even the Suns wanted Will last draft so he's trade value is practically zero  :-\.

Maybe so. But I'd take Thursfield over Carmichael Hunt a thousand times  :lol

After seeing the Suns get smashed, GWS might grab a few more mature aged players this time around??  :pray

Suck it up. Playing kids with a future instead of dead end depth players. Most of you have been calling for it for years then when the club does it your balls retreat up your backsides because you think we might cop a belting.  :lol

Same posters that bleat on about players having to earn games too - did Thursfield tear it up in the two's last week did he? LMAO

My thoughts exactly, and more 'average' players like Will rather than 6-7 higher profile players.

I would've brought in Thursty/Gourdis in addition to Grimes.

no but neither did Edwards

Im all for grimes and Gourdis just wanted to see Edwards out to make way for Thursfield.

He has been rewarded for mediocrity both the last 2 weeks and in the pre season.

But as u said Thursfield from what i hear played crap at Coburg so we cant reward him either. I get the feeling they are going to tear us a new one Saturday if we are not on

Good move in the end not bringing Thursfield now.

HAWTHORN coach Alastair Clarkson has declared star forward Lance Franklin a certain starter against Richmond tomorrow night.
Although Franklin completed only stationary ball drills at Waverley this morning, Clarkson denied rumours his goalkicking ace was suffering an ankle injury.

"Someone has seen something I didn't see. We're expecting he's going to play," Clarkson said.

"There was no incident at training. We've got a six-day break, he's just had a lighter week."
