Last night the Pies apparently had massive images of their players flashing across the exterior of the MCG right around. I remember the Footy Show on Thursday night showing vision of them testing it out and Eddie saying both Collingwood as well as Melbourne were going to do it as part of signifying the MCG as "their fortress" and "their ground" at their home games.

Anyway there was no mention of Richmond. Did someone at the 'G forget again that we've been key tenants there for 46 years!  :-\

The Demons are nothing more than a fitness class run by the local cricket club and Collingwood will bend knee to our heavy fertility when we rest it on their shoulder like the cheap cock racks they are

Is that what those guys were doing with the projectors yesterday. You'll probably find it was more an indication that we are not going to be projecting pictures of our players on the side of the 'G'.

Walking past the 'G' after work looking at the complete lack of colour with the supporters all decked our in black white and almost black blue. It occurred to me that Collingwood and Carlton need to find some way to inject a bit of excitement since looking at the crowd I could have been at Flinders Street station during peak hour. Melbourne's colours aren't much better. Boring boring boring.

We have the best song and the best colours. The our crowd a the 'G' gives all the tribal feeling anyone could need. Cheap light effects we do not need. ( A champion team we do need. Lucky we finally seem to be working on that  :thumbsup )

in fairness i suspect it is the initiative of the club rather than the MCG trust to initiate marketing campaigns for the respective tenants, but hey i could be wrong ::)

MCG does take Richmond for granted now IMHO, but when you were once a big fish and now you are nothing but a goldfish then others who are more successful will tread on your turf. Hence Collingwood whenever they play at the G virtually have the whole Ponsford Stand in black and white and many other things.

We have had the opportunities over the years to put in our initiatives and make the MCG the fortress it was in the late 60's and 70's but ground rationalisation and such has seen others come on our turf and take over b/c we have been happy to merely exist and talk about the hey day rather than making our mark. Until we are competitive we will merely be just be the entree or the desert and not the main course. Suck it up lads.

We're doing the "lighting spectacular" thing next week.

Lighting Spectacular"

The crowd at Richmond's home game at the MCG next Friday night will be treated to a unique experience, with the ground's walls transformed in a lighting spectacular. Using the latest interactive technology, imagery will be projected on to the walls, creating a show not to be missed.

could be a few tiger supporters watching the walls rather than the ground friday evening

Nor are your ways my ways,” says the Lord.

“For as the heavens are higher than the earth,
So are my ways higher than your ways,
And my thoughts than your thoughts."

1980 GF projected on the walls would be nice to ease the pain and a bar outside.

They had images of Jack, Cotch and Dusty flashing on the walls of the 'G last night. What did everyone think of it?
