Vickery, not up to it.

Man you seriously need to get at least one clue about footy before you post on a footy site.

Not sure how Coburg went today but I wanna have a look at Dea off half back so my changes are

 Out - Grimes , Edwards  ( both omitted )
 In - McGuane , Dea

I am serious.
5 possessions a game ( which one free is included ) doesnt cut it with me.
i want the RFC to be successfull.
and to be successfull, you need to be ruthless.
Not keep players on lists as there good blokes etc

premature call

clearly Vickery is improving, u dont crucify a bloke for a bad game. He'll need to go back to coburg at stages this season but he's shown something the first 4 weeks against tough opposition

I see it that way too Tony if you drop a young bloke after one bad game then you'll kill the confidence long term and it won't serve as proactive. Give Ty a few more weeks and lets make a call after we play a few less imposing teams and see how he goes about his business there.

Coming into the easier part of the draw, you keep the kids in and you might get a confidence boosting breakout game from one.

Vickery might bag 5 against Brissy or Norf.
And you may not think I care for you

^ Agree! Think Vickers needs this type of game for his development. Give him this week and next and if he is still terrible then 'You know'

OUT: Thursfield
IN:    McGuane

I would give Grimes one more week of experience at AFL level before bring Rance back in. A fit Moore will complicate matters especially if North go in with a small forwardline. We never seem to handle good small forwards well.

The calls for Astbury to be rested is premature imo. He has had to play the role of a shut down defensive tall over the last two weeks which is why he has seemed quiter than normal. He usually plays on the third tall/medium size forward and assists with the movement out of defense. Would have been great experience for him taking the opposition full forward the last two weeks.

IMHO if the coaches take Edwards or Nahas out of the team it will be for Morton or Connors but not Tuck. They are waiting until later in the year when the pace of the game slows and it becomes a stoppage fest which Tuck relishes.

Thought I saw Grimes taking Cloke and Thursty taking Dawes, Stripes.  I thought Astbury was playing third tall.  Was I watching the wrong game or were they switching?

Saw Astbury Interviewed (though it was before the Collingwwod game) where he said with first Rance out and then McGuane he has had to play more as a stopper than he has been instructed to do up and until now. Was looking forward to the challenge...

Agree that Vickery should remain in the team for the meantime. Thursfield should remain in the team against North. We need him for Drew Petrie. We have struggled this year regarding contested possessions. Tuck's inclusion would improve us significantly in that area.

IMO we'll make a couple of changes but I think most will be to give a couple of the young guys a rest. In an ideal world I would think Dimma would like to keep the same side to measure the difference in performance against the best in Collingwood and a alsoran like North.

In:  Rance, McGuane, Connors
Out: Thursty, Astbury (needs a rest), Edwards

McGuane is an orange

Sounds like the only players that pushed for selection were Posty and possibly The Dea
