I can't confirm it but I believe he got a 3 year contract and that was the main reason he accepted the trade because Richmond only offered him 2.

As part of the trade , Blues gave him another year on top of his current contract = 2 more years with the blues 2011 & 2012

Gee if that extra year was the sealer then he can't have had much confidence that his spot on our list was safe in the long term.
