Give them McGuane...they're not Freo though ;D We'll send over the boots that Sarge kicked 6 in as apart of the deal.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but couldn't he be picked up in the preseason draft for nix? We would have to price him out of others reach.

Also, peoples thoughts on something like Edwards plus our banked 2nd rounder from last year?

I think GWS would be all over him if we tried to do that?

Unless Trengove tells Port he wants out and Richmond is his one and only preferred club forcing Port to basically accept whatever they can get from us then pass. Port will have the stronger bargaining position if multiple clubs are interested and they'll want a early-mid range first round pick at least in exchange.

rfc bargaining chip that was used effectively with both grigg and houli is we have a cavernous gap in our TPP meaning we could put an offer possibly 100k pa higher than a rival bidder...tbh im still not convinced he is an upgrade on a few prospects we already have in our ranks that need to take that next step

According to Damian Barrett we are after Port's Jackson Trengove in a big way.

Take that as you will.

Well let's hope we get him, exactly what we need! This is the sort of aggressive recruiting we need to do. Just like Sheedy when he was at the Bombers and even now, he comes out in public and says what he is going to do......and it happens. No draft picks though.

Let's hope we get him!!!

If we are recruiting him as a ruck I would question his height in todays game. At 197cm he would be short compared to everyone of our other 4 rucks. As a key defender that would be an enirely different matter  :-\

If we were to convince him he would cost us plenty in early draft picks I'm sure.  :-X

Trengove isn't a ruckman although he can provide a chop out around the ground when needed. He's played more as a mobile tall mainly defensive side of centre at this stage. He's played well today for Port so far from what I've seen (granted it's against GC). 12 possies almost to half-time.
