Still think Trengove will be on our radar...one bad game doesn't change the fact that he is 20 years old and better than some of what we have at the moment.

you should watch him closely.

Im no expert but this will be a massive mistake, unless it comes via free agency, or high draft picks, which it wont.

He is a glorified version of Ray Hall. He only looks half descent in Port colours because lets face it they are rubbish

Will it be an upgrade on mcguane, Browne, Gus. Absolutely, but with another year of rebuild and free agency looming why waste our top end picks on a risk like him.

Prefer Carlisle from Port
Big fijian bastard
been really good up until this year, where he's been a bit down for some reason
more mature than Trengove, would be cheaper too
less upside but less risk

I've watched paid a little more attention to him over the past few since he's supposedly been on "our radar"

Have to say I haven't been impressed, kicking is ordinary, attack on the footy non existent at times, tackles don't seem to stick often enough & appears to lack intensity ............. based on that

He's a shoe in to get to Punt Road  :rollin

Fair enough but perhaps it's got something to do with the extra pressure he is under playing in a team like Port...who knows. But for the earlier part of the year he was playing well.

I would still rather trade Edwards, Jackson and White for him.

Totally agree with your last line, but again I think he is worth the risk over the likes of Edwards, Gourdis, Post, Jackson, White.....the usuals.

Heard someone on one of the Monday shows talking about him and saying he will end up a ruckman/forward and is all at sea in backline.
Who isn't a fan of the thinking man's orange Tim Fleming?

He aint a forward. Agree with Greg Gerkin on Carlisle. Has been horrific this year but he will be a good player. Think he's sick of Port, so he's just got fat and probably wanted to be dropped :lol

Laidley did link him to us last night on AFL 360 when the comments were made.
He also said buyer beware :whistle

BF trade rumours have started....

Quote from: peterbuch74
Had an interesting chat to an opposition club official tonight (those who know me know my connection) and some interesting things on the table already.

We're into Trengove in a big way... Thursfield mentioned as part of the deal.

Forget Dangerfield. If he goes he'll head to Geelong in a trade for a homesick Varcoe.

Taylor Walker was linked to GWS, but with Davis now "signed" would need to be traded there... Sydney now sniffing around.

Tiges and Port sniffing around McIntosh.

Tiges have apparently made Ruck, CHB and another KPF their priorities with already established players and looking to consolidate more talent in the midfield through the draft.

As far as GWS was concerned... Kane Cornes was mentioned, but then Port "retired" Chad Cornes and offered him a coaching gig as an enticement to keep Kane around for a little longer to help the kids along.

Rhys Palmer to GWS is solid. As is Chris Masten from West Coast. doesn't expect GWS to be knocking on Richmonds door this season...

Expects that we'll be turning over (some offered as trades, others delisted) at least 8 players this year. Won't go into names as I'm sure they've all already been mentioned somewhere in this board.

Anyways... there was a lot more discussed, mostly rumours, but these are what were known to have been discussed between clubs, agents, players thus far.

Over and out for now... PB74

As if Port want Kane Cornes to help their kids. What's he going to do? Teach all the poo kicks to run round the back of someone 10 times a game to get cheap stats? Bet Port are counting down the days left on his contract

Sydney sniffing round Walker, already knew that. someone in the media said it a few days ago :lol

North Melbourne coach Brad Scott said Hamish McIntosh was contracted until the end of 2013 and was not going anywhere.

"This question has been asked before and answered. He's a contracted player," Scott said at Aegis Park on Thursday.

"We've contracted him until 2013. We don't take those decisions lightly, so we're not only talking about keeping him we're putting our money where our mouth is.

"So he's a North Melbourne player and he will be unless Hamish or his manager come to us and indicate otherwise."
