I dont know a great deal about bower, went to look at his stats on footy wire and nearly fell off my chair, he averages 6 possies a game and 1 mark :o. sheesh at that rate he makes our current defenders look like harry taylor...or am I completely missing something

I'd take him over Bower if I had the preference.

Outside mid, had a good debut year 2010 but rubbish 2011. combination of ongoing hamstring problems and form.

Still only 19 and potentially has a decent upside for mine.

DeepThroat again:

"Well pick 14 for Lucas and Morris is correct weight, using Bower & macClean ( for free) as pawns in other deals or add them to a compo pick and get a GwS pick 7, just so Carlton can free up space, makes us the winners out of the saints trouble and carltons pursuit of Goddard. "

That part of his post makes no sense. I actually like his posts as some stuff is pretty close to the mark but that is jibberish.

Lucas was a pretty high pick (around the 12 - 14 mark) and showed a bit early...agree last year was ordinary but a change of scenery ala houli, grigg etc and some luck with injuries and he could be a player - at the very least would add depth and be an upgrade on some of the junk we have going around now...

bower - eh...pretty much L McGuane clone so don't see the sense in that unless it's to be used as part of another deal as suggested....also not sure about the mclean side of things - he's on a pretty hefty pay packet isn't he?

What he is saying is we do the pick 14 downgrade to 15 for Morris, then trade the 15 to Carlton for Lucas to free up salary cap and space so they can go for Goddard, Bower and MacClean seem to be involved in this convoluted process too, perhaps for cap reasons or something.

If we end up with players like Bower and MacClean then we may as well close our club down coz they learnt nothing over 30 years. :banghead

dont stress ramps.
taking a couple of hacks for nothing to free up salary cap space for someone else is pretty far fetched.

Not totally implausible, but still, pretty far fetched.

Nor are your ways my ways,” says the Lord.

“For as the heavens are higher than the earth,
So are my ways higher than your ways,
And my thoughts than your thoughts."

Yeah, I can't see us taking on a couple of hacks so we can help Carlton land a big fish.

At least I hope not anyway ....  :pray

Craig Cameron does not have dictatorial rights over such decisions.
