If Carlton want to free up salary cap space then they either just delist their unwanted players or get them to tell the Visy ambassador to take a paycut or at least have a 3rd-party deal that despite being allowed by the AFL is now against the current rules for any other player. We are not here to take their unwanted off-cuts just so they can score a gun player at the trade table. Weren't we all told that we wouldn't trade our first round pick away  ::).

Looks like some dumb Blues fans have been fooled by the Telstra run AFL club websites having players listed on opposition club official websites. Remember we posted the Daniel Connors one on the North website.

Just heard this ripper, it supposedly comes from Ross Lyons best mate.

Hutchy will be running with this tomorrow.

I don't believe it, but here it is.

Carlton give Richmond bower, McLean, Lucas and their first round pick, I think it's 22.

Richmond give Carlton their first round pick, I think it's pick 15.

Carlton than give St Kilda pick 15 for Goddard.

Richmond will than on trade Bower to one of GWS pre listed players they are interested in.

The same chap tells me St Kilda are in serious financial strife and may be even facing some sanctions. Need to get rid of 2 stars, Goddard and Dal Santo most likely.

Deepthroat also made mention of similar.

with the article in todays herald scum about St Kilda, at least part of this rumour is growing legs.

Nor are your ways my ways,” says the Lord.

“For as the heavens are higher than the earth,
So are my ways higher than your ways,
And my thoughts than your thoughts."

Well I guess that confirms it! Daniel Jackson is leaving the club as Buddy is still listed as having his beloved 23.  :rollin

Didn't think you could on-trade players you've just traded for.

'Dockers ruckman Jonathon Griffin, who has requested a return home to South Australia, has been told he is a required player at Fremantle.'

huh? didnt he initially request a trade out of Adelaide to go home to Perth?

Yep he wanted more game time as the 2nd ruckman at Freo behind Sandilands.
Then the substitution rule stymied him and he only got games when Sandilands was out injured.

I think you can just like you can on trade picks that you've just traded for

Eg Adel on trading that compo pick they got last year for Bock and then on trading to us for Tambling

They must have changed the rules this year because up until recently you couldn't on-trade a player.

- A club cannot on-trade a player received in any exchange until the following year.

CARLTON coach Brett Ratten doesn't expect his club to be a major participant in trade week.

http://www.afl.com.au/news/newsarticle/tabid/208/newsid/124843/default.aspx

ST KILDA will use trade week to ease the strain on its salary cap, but the Saints will not be forced to trade out any of its star players, according to the club's head of football, Chris Pelchen.

Pelchen admitted St Kilda needed to use the player exchange period to provide itself with salary cap relief, but moved to quash speculation the likes of Brendon Goddard or Sam Gilbert would be sacrificed.
