Seaby to remain a Swan at this stage as Port aren't that happy with the medical he had with them.

In talks with Collingwood, once we lock in Maric we'll be hoping to trade Graham for Macaffer.

Is Macaffer out of contract? If he is should try and get him into the PSD put a high price on him so no other club touches him.

By the way I can't seeing collingwood wanting Graham.

Lewis Johnston is heading to Adelaide to be medically checked. Deal as it stands would be for Armstrong & 35, but the Swans want a bit more.

Source: Emma Quayle twitter.

I haven't checked but on twitter they are saying if Johnston leaves the Swans it'll mean they have only got 31 games out of their past 6 first rounder picks  :o.

That's an appalling strike rate. Though Rohan will be good and only just started playing. Jetta i dont rate. Lamb will get a chance eventually.

I believe Macaffer is out of contract tiger101. I can't see the Pies wanting Graham either. They've already got one poor ruckman in Wood.

If we have given up pick 37 for Maric then we can only do player-player trades now with our first round and compo picks off the table and our next pick at 55 (unless we changed tact and chased a big fish).

The only trade I could see happen would be something like McGuane to Bris, Bris mid-late pick to Pies, Macaffer to us. Nothing to get excited about though. I'm not overtly keen on changing top club's fringe players whose deficiencies can be protected to some degree by the guns around them.

Mitch Clark's manager just said Clark has told him about an hour ago that he looked at the Melbourne offer but still wants to go to Freo.

Problem with any McGaune deal is that he is on 450k a year. If deal gets done..it means there is more than one stupid AFL club in the comp.
Seems as though the Hawks know how to work trade week..most other clubs are all talk
It would be worth paying part of McGuane's salary next year if it means we can offload him. Better off paying $150-200k at another club than $450k keeping him as a list clogger at Coburg.

Correct. He had a front loaded contract that didnt equal 450k per year.

GWS on the other hand will want to stockpile as many compo picks they can get their hands on just as the Suns did last year. It'll then allow them to have a stack of early picks in waiting for future drafts on top of having 11 of the first 14 picks in this year's draft.

Its just ridiculous they've already been warned about there trading not being in the spirit of the game.
I hope they get a phone call from AFL house and told to trade some of the picks for at least some what of a marquee player.

In recent times the AFL has had the first 10 picks done in reverse order for the media. I dont think the AFL is gonna be impressed with whats happening atm. Theyve turned it into a farce.
The AFL know in 5-10-20-30 years time people will forget about the 2010-11 compromised drafts and GWS and GC printing draft picks out of thin air etc and they will only judge the worthiness of the expansion clubs by their success on and off-field in promoting the game as a whole in what is now RL territory.
