it was thomson i think. elbow to the head . how does it go. deliberate, high contact, high impact and clearly dazed the player he hit. with his record will be lucky to get off with just 4.

He is gone - deserves 4 weeks.  :banghead He wont get looked after like campbell brown did.

Gone. I cant understand his brain fades. Thats just dumb football.

Thugs dont earn respect on the football field and he is turning into one.

Play the effin game Jackson not go around thumping blokes.

Dimma needs to put the hard line on him, much like Kingy last year

Spot on Daniel.

Half the suspension will be due to Jacko's past actions. 3aw said you would normally cop 2 weeks for that but Jacko's apparently got a 50% loading plus 70 points carried over from past reports so he'll end with over 500 activation points which is 5 weeks or 4 weeks with an early plea. He's now getting to the stage where he is spending more of his career out suspended than actually playing thanks to his brain fades.

I'd get rid of him at the end of the year. Hes an average player at best anyway.

For a 16 year old or a end of first round pick?  ;). Jacko is out of contract this year going by our OER contracts' list.

Hey don't knock the goods until after you sell them  ;D

Looking at the incident again tonight Jacko almost also elbows Nahas in the head. Can you be reported for stupidly elbowing one of your teammates by mistake?  :P.

Getting rid of someone like Jackson would be detrimental to this young team. Guys like him are the glue that binds them together. He's a clubman and getting rid of him would be a bad idea IMO.

Maybe so but why does the club have to keep him when hes just an average player that does stupid things on the park getting himself suspended for games on end year after year. There comes a time when you just have to say enoughs enough ... irrespective of the issue of how he is considered by his team mates.

Rather than trade him how about just send him back to Coburg for a while and see if he gets the message?

You could make a case that as a senior player in the leadership group that having him getting reported/suspended on what appears to be regular basis for things that can only be desribed as stupidity of the highest order is detrimental to this young team as well

But fourtunately for Jacko the coach loves him so he is safe

But I have to say that this time round once he serves his suspension he should have to earn his spot back in the team rather than have it handed to him ala what happened afeter both is suspensions last year ... as for his position in the leadership group I agree with gerk (posted on another thread) they should seriously look at removing him from there

I remember KB & Hafey recalling the decision to get rid of the Whale. KB recalled that the club lost a great clubman and the rooms were never the same. Hafey regretted the decision.

I agree with the call to drop him from the leadership group until he can go for 12 an entire season without getting suspended

agreed he has value but not whilst suspended, he should be dropped from the leadership group
