Tigers heading north: Robbo (Herald-Sun)

Once again, outside of Petrie, who was magnificent, and Boomer, one special goal from Wells, and some blue-collar cameos, the Kangas didn't stand up when it counts.

Seven goals to 2.8 in the final quarter was rubbish football.

Even when the Roos were leading yesterday, the feeling was the Tigers only needed two goals in a row and the game was alive.

In contrast, look at Richmond's best players: Dustin Martin, Jack Riewoldt, Trent Cotchin, Bachar Houli, Nathan Foley was far better, and don't forget Reece Conca ... it's called youth with exuberance, and run.

Right now, the Kangaroos are in nowhere land.

Not so the Tigers.

When you overrun teams it shows the football world you are hungry, team-oriented and have inner belief.

They might have holes in their team, such as needing a monster key defender and a better second key forward (although Brad Miller was very good last night), but effort often covers cracks.

As of today, one team is heading north and the other is making promises.

I've been dreaming of a time where the media start to pay our young players some attention. Been sitting listening to how good Melbourne's kids are, Essendon's kids, Collingwood's kids, St Kilda's kids, Geelong's kids ... well it seems to finally be happening to us.  :thumbsup :birthday :santa
