Phil Mrakov has a little tacker coming through. Heard it through the grapevine

I didn't know that 6 years working the fryer at the Thornbury Charcoal Chicken qualified your offspring for F/S selection?

Nah, only does if it's 6 years at Northcote Charcoal Chicken.  I think 6 years at TCC qualifies you to ride Melbourne public transport in daylight hours under the supervision of a qualified adult.

Ray Hall's son is regarded as clearly the best 15 year old in NSW, if not all of Australia.

Rayzor finished on 99 games  :facepalm

I wonder if we could rookie him next year and play him once as a sub v GWS?

Always a couple of rookie spots that are essentially unused anyway, be worth it for a gun player.
I like it!

whilst this is  stupid if the kid continues to develop then youd have to do it. put Ray on the rookie list for 1 game and qualify the kid.

Sign them up as NSW scholarship kids ASAP.

Is that scheme still going or do GWS get all the kids?

Not sure how it works now.

There is a B. Lambert playing for the GWS Giants U15 squad. I wonder if father/son overrules zone selections?

Craig Lambert said in his tweet, it's up to where the boys want to play. (if they're good enough)
The Father-Son and zone selections are considered equal. So it'll be up to young Lambert to decide if he wants to come to Richmond via the F/S rule or go to GWS via their zone selection.

From 2012:

... while Damian Bourke's son Jordan could opt to sign with Geelong as a father-son pick or with the Suns as a Queensland zone selection.

In the end it was immaterial as both Geelong and Gold Coast overlooked Bourke and he ended up at the Lions via the rookie draft.

If they're a close family, they'll probably pick the GWS.  :banghead

Lambert hates the RFC. Absolutely no chance his son will play for Richmond. Plus, his whole family supports Brisbane.
