Yes, big chance for Post to shine here, doesn't have to star, but needs to probably kick one or two goals and keep pressure on in the forward line.

Good luck Post.

Browne  :o

Well I hope he proves me wrong and shows more than Gus. Needs to run out the game and provide marking options all over the ground. Against 3 ruckmen I think his fitness will definitely come into question...but if he can show us he is better ruck option than Gus then I will be behind him 100%  :gotigers
Well, if he can contest in the ruck, he would already be a better option than Gus who cant do anything anywhere of any worth  :sleep
:lol  :thumbsup

I think we'll suffer from the ommission of Miller. He is great for our forward structure and is a real leader down there. Particularly sad considering his had finally found his kicking boot.

Great for Postie though. Time to deliver son  :thumbsup

Post needs to work hard, provide a real option/draw defenders away from jack or hit the pack and make sure the ball comes to ground when jack is outnumbered.

Basically he just needs to do what miller does, but being a more skilled player he will naturally do it better. The key is to provide the structure that miller has.
“For My thoughts are not your thoughts,
Nor are your ways my ways,” says the Lord.

“For as the heavens are higher than the earth,
So are my ways higher than your ways,
And my thoughts than your thoughts."

Looking forward to seeing Post in action and will be good to see how the fwd line functions without Miller - see if the youngsters have learnt anything at this early stage about running patterns etc.

Poor Browne - what a baptism of fire for 1st game of the year! they better give him a decent go at it 4-5 games in a row

This year is still a development year.
The more I think about it, the more I like our 'ins' this week.
Time to see if some of these blokes can play.

Would we be surprised if Postie lines up down back on either Hille or Bellchambers?

The Farmer selection seemed to come from nowhere. Has he been performing well in the 2's ???

Stripes, I'm a better ruck option than Graham!   :o

Jackstar - Rance was not on those players for the entire game. Especially Petrie, Rance moved onto him well after he kicked most of his goals, I think 4 were on McGuane, 2 on Rance. Against Freo Rance was credited with only having 2 goals kicked on him. You only need to look at the Dogs game and McGuane was given a 3rd string forward on Liam Jones who is 195cm and only played 10 games, where as Rance had to take the 200cm Minson who's played over 100 games and kicked over 60 goals.

Rance is not the problem down back, he has been given the big jobs over McGuane all season and for a kid who's only played 30 games so far he's done pretty bloody well considering he has no support down there. Now don't twist my words to think I mean he's been faultless, he hasn't, but he's show massive improvement and is definitely worth persisting with.

You are on the back of the wrong player down there.

they moved him early against petrie
McGuane started on Petrie when he kicked his 4 goals in a quarter, Rance was on him after that
I have the replay to confirm this but not the time to check it right now but that's how I remember it

Jackstar is back again
