We stuffing Beat Those Jerk Off Pretenders as Lead by Hird and Bummer Thompson.

The passage of play where it ended up hitting Jack on the chest 40 out was sublime.
It had a special something and imo,is the moment we actually got it right.

Absolutely Stoked.

Great post.

The only thing I can hope for Essendons future is the same as the Busby Babes they can get stuffed. :gotigers

I'm with you champ it wasn't just the four premiership points tonight it was a whole lot more.

It was the way we played the way we asserted ourselves the way we responded the way we used the ball.

Something that has not lifted us and made going to the football that good for a long time.

I went to the ground having the thoughts of that Monday night game against the Skataboners in 1995 which announced our arrival in 1995. We may not make the eight this year but right now who cares but we have arrived a bona fide team of the future and a real challenger in the next few years.

Play of the night that passage you mentioned. Fantastic. Best win in a long time and I love the fact the media in some quarters still play it down focusing on the Essendon absentees rather than our efforts and development.

THis ride I feel more and more will be exhilirating breathtaking club making and most of all in a few seasons I feel drought breaking. :gotigers

I was glad we responded to so many lead changes, in the past, if the lead changed a few times it seemed to drain us. This year, it seems to energize us!!

Pope Man Utd are champions through and through and Busby rebuilt the side and were Euro Champions 10 years later. It's what has made Man Utd into the club they are today.

Not some of your best work if you are wishing for the same fate on Essendon players hoping for a Munich plane disaster.

I'm flyng !

The satisfaction of BEATing this mob is surreal.
sucker hird and his rubbish,media-hyped dream run has been taken and rammed up his ballet dancing coit.
Same goes for the dog bomber who wasnt man enough to treat  the gfc with the dignity it deserved,in his departure from the club.
Absolute lying disgrace.

Newsflash - U2 aint gonna do poo \....now get to the back of the line bunnies!

Is there a better win then better these scumbags?

Sittinga round a bunch of pigs whinging about Stanton, Monfries.. and bagging Ryder? stuff me we'll have Ryder lol. My god they love Heppell, rightly so the kid can play. They just wet themselves whenever anything goes remotely well for them. Hird, Bummer Thompson, Heppell etc. Get stuffed Essendon, go back to smelling your own poo.

Fletcher 38 years old or whatever, Hille 30, McVeigh 30 all finished. All will retire before a premiership window opens.

Hope Windy Hill blows up

It was a great win - since round 9 last year we are winning roughly half our games but each win has a little more merit.
We've broken the back of bogy sides Adelaide, Kangas and Swans - stood up on a big stage last night which has been an issue in the past and playing a tough brand of footy which I havent seen since Northey was coach.

Bombers fans might want to talk about injuries but if you want to rely on one or two players each week - don't expect too much success in September.
“I find it nearly impossible to make those judgments, but he is certainly up there with the really important ones, he is certainly up there with the Francis Bourkes and the Royce Harts and the Kevin Bartlett and the Kevin Sheedys, there is no doubt about that,” Balme said.
