Interesting times ahead, do we trade either of pick 14 or 32

Lets trade our picks for more duds, so Jacko and Whitey have more friends. :)

McIntosh is a dinosaur. All the ruckmen weve been linked too are duds except Clarke from Freo who would be a good get.

Would trade pick 14 for an AFL Ruckman. With Foley, Edwards, Morton and Jackson as tradeables.

Looking at Zac Smith, Ben McEvoy, Matthew Leunberger.

With Brisbanes list I have a feeling everyone has a trade price.

Pick 14 and Foley + Morton could test their resolve.

Lions won't let Voss take other clubs rubbish anymore pope.
We would have to upgrade our first round pick to get an A grade ruck. I think we need to target GWS' pick 9. Just imagine if we could offload Jackson and pick 14 for pick 9!

Pretty good call there DC.

GWS pick 9 would be perfect. Mind you I was really surprised GC didn't trade one of there later first rounders for a decent player.. Depending on how GWS go with there signings they may look at doing it.
Go Tigers!

According to BF, Richmond is interested in Steven Verrier:

"Hey guys, anyone know anything about Steven Verrier being linked with us as a late draft selection? I know him from school and he told me we are 1 of 3 clubs interested in him. I know he has skills, but i don't watch him enough to understand what his strengths and weaknesses are."

#45 GWS - Steven Verrier (188cm midfielder - South Fremantle)

Played for WA in the U18 Championships, and has made a league debut back home in the WAFL. Not the most productive player going around, but he has shown signs of being a special player. Has good speed, no problems with his disposal and looks to be a smart player. Will be one of those players who likely rotates through a number of different positions. AFL Comparison: Garrick Ibbotson.

Pick 41 West Coast Eagles

Stephen Verrier South Fremantle Football Club
188cm 82kg's

Stephen has been playing good footy for South Fremantle Colts.

He is a lovely size and uses the footy extremely well, loves to run and carry the footy, breaks lines very well.

He is also good overhead which would allow him to play the high half foward role at Afl level that is so important these days.

This is one area of weakness at wce dont have enough run and carry player's, maybe a stretch picking him here but i see him as good value.

#78 St Kilda – Steven Verrier (WA – Mid/Util)
Height: 185cm, Weight: 80kg, DOB: 24/06/1993
Recruited from: South Fremantle Football Club
Style:
Player comparison:
Range: 45-rookie
Profile: Probably didn’t see the level of production I was expecting from him during the U18 championships but still I like the look of him. But still showed some bits I liked. Looks good through the midfield, down back and even looks dangerous at times when he pushes forward. Is a nice user of the ball by foot. Has line breaking ability. Seems to read the ball really well. Nice tackling ability.
Why:

Seems to be the type we would target so no suprises really.

FWIW one of the draft watchers on BF has Mitch Grigg at 25 now. Not sure why he has dropped him down. He is an SA based watcher so i found that interesting. Would love this kid at the Tiges. Would be our best Grigg  ;D

From poster 'Grockadoc' on BF:

"Saw Steven [Verrier] today. He has had another 4 clubs approach him taking the total number of clubs interested to 7. Richmond are dead keen to get him as a 4th rounder, but Adelaide and Brisbane are really keen on him as well. Saw a couple of matches of his today that eh showed me and he would be a likely type. My impressions were that he plays a lot like Lids. Has silky footskills and really keen decision making. The only downside I can think of is he really close to his family and he doesn't know how he would handle being away from them. Would be an upgrade on Edwards too if we manage to land him as a fourth rounder, it would be a good pickup for the club."

a later selection yet has good skills and decision making - exactly the type of player i expect us to target.
