I was section 6 front row - end of the aisle, with darling little maggot kids lol getting in my vision every 5 seconds.
I had a bit of fun with the Pies mascot - he came around to the kids next to me - and i said "go away, you're scaring the kids - so he headbutted me" lol
One of the best nights of footy (except for the result) great weather - should be more summer night games of footy i reckon!

Lets not worry about Eddie Everywhere anymore.Just dont tune in when Collingwood are on Channel Eddie and give the Footy Show the flick as well.We know what he's like by now.

Like I  mentioned previously when this row flared up,when  Tim Lane refused to work with Eddie that was a  statement in itself  about the glaringly obvious especially coming from one of the most knowledgble commentators of sport in general

Anyway back to the game. I enjoyed the free flowing game we were playing last night. It reminded me of the way he had the doggies running game going with Rohan Smith ,Chris Johnson setting up foward thrusts with quick transferral  directly from half back to  half foward.

We still have a long way to go thats for sure .In the second quarter the turnovers at half foward from poor judgemnt and lousy kicking skills probably cost us the game in the end.

I kept my eye on Deledio a lot.stuff!Has that guy got some pace or what?Tambling looks pretty exciting too.

We defnitely have more hope down there than previous years.Just going to take time, but hopefully at least we might be more competitive.

I watched the game yesterday on Fox Footy and I thought it was hystercial when Eddie (after Tambling klick his second and put us up 25 points) with about as much excitement as a cow mowing in a paddack just before milking) said something like "and that's probably the ball game" and then 3 minutes later almost wetting himself when Rocca kicked that 9 point goal.

We were promised:

1/ we'd be competitive - we were :cheers Remember the Tigers of 2004 would have packed up half way through the 2nd qtr

2/ We'd play fast attacking footy - a tick there as well and it was great. It was exciting, it was fun. Some of the usual suspects lapsed  into bad habits but on the whole everyone tried to follow the new game plan.

3/ The kids would get plenty of game time. - with the exceptionof Pattison that happened too :bow :cheers

Disappointed to lose but enjoyed the game and to be honest I don't remember the last time I can away from a game and said "that was a good game to watch :bow

We just need to learn how to win again (all the demons from last season are not completely gone ;D) and I reckon it may happen sooner rather than later :thumbsup

As for Mick Malthouse - he had 3 big blokes inthe forward 50 for mot of the game - instead of worrying about the way we play he should do something about the way his team play - chipping, zig-zagging through half back - YUK :scream

I had a pies supporter in the vicinity - i think he was 50 metres away, but i heard him quite clearly such was his mouth lol - whinging and moaning about the same thing.  If I closed my eyes and thought about it, it cuold have been a Richmond supporter last year.  Never wanna see that stuff again!

"We expect them to play the way Footscray (Western Bulldogs) played several years ago," Malthouse said.
"It's just different people in a different uniform playing the same way."

Quote
COLLINGWOOD coach Mick Malthouse accused counterpart Terry Wallace of being greedy last night after the Magpies' stunning seven-point win in the opening match of the Wizard Cup.

"Terry, historically and traditionally, has gone '25, let's go to 50!'. And that is breaking the back of the opposition and quite often that does take place.

"But doing that, it sometimes opens up the floodgates, or opens up (your own defensive) gates.

Wonder if Terry has these comments from Malthouse during the Wizz Cup pinned up in his office or at home. Time for some humble Pie  :thumbsup

i really cant stand mick poohhouse

he has now reversed all he said after the freo game in yesterdays press conference, and he is basically challenging his senior group to lift.
i feel he feels pressured by his own ppl  as he now realises they dont have faith in his ability! why did teh pies chase eade so hard to be match day coach and analyst????? its because they dont have faith in micks match day coaching!!!!!

now we must not get complacent.  the magpies have no chance in beating us, our best footy will beat theirs by 80pts!!!

but as the pies cannot beat us , we can lose it!!! we must stay switched on, focused and stick to the rules! terry i know will do his best to keep these guys switched on but as soon as they get ahead of themselves , we will lose!

what i want to see, is the same as last week, i wanna see us jump out of the blocks, kick a bag of goals and crush them in the 1st q and then reproduce what the dockers did to them.

at the end of the game against freo, mick said it was the worst day in pie history!!!! i want that to be us!!!
i want us to be their biggest misery not the dockers!

if i had one wish , i would wish we won by 120+ points, i want this w/e to be the w/e where richo kicks 15!!!!!  if that happened then i would be prepared to die :-)

lol, good call MT.

lmfao@malthouse.

Wouldn't it be great to set records for winning margins against our two biggest rivals in back-to-back weeks?

We have a good chance this week. Hope we monster them by 150 points+
