I watched the game yesterday on Fox Footy and I thought it was hystercial when Eddie (after Tambling klick his second and put us up 25 points) with about as much excitement as a cow mowing in a paddack just before milking) said something like "and that's probably the ball game" and then 3 minutes later almost wetting himself when Rocca kicked that 9 point goal.
We were promised:
1/ we'd be competitive - we were
Remember the Tigers of 2004 would have packed up half way through the 2nd qtr
2/ We'd play fast attacking footy - a tick there as well and it was great. It was exciting, it was fun. Some of the usual suspects lapsed into bad habits but on the whole everyone tried to follow the new game plan.
3/ The kids would get plenty of game time. - with the exceptionof Pattison that happened too
Disappointed to lose but enjoyed the game and to be honest I don't remember the last time I can away from a game and said "that was a good game to watch
We just need to learn how to win again (all the demons from last season are not completely gone
) and I reckon it may happen sooner rather than later
As for Mick Malthouse - he had 3 big blokes inthe forward 50 for mot of the game - instead of worrying about the way we play he should do something about the way his team play - chipping, zig-zagging through half back - YUK
