Ok we just spanked the bottom team (for the second time this year)....time to talk September.

The impossible

Rd 15 Carlton
Rd 18 Geelong

The improbable

Rd 20 West Coast (pattersons)

The Possible

Rd 14 Melbourne
Rd 16 Essendon
Rd 17 Gold Coast
Rd 21 Sydney MCG
Rd 22 Melbourne again
Rd 23 Adelaide
Rd 24 North

The football gods owe us big time for finishing 9th twice with 12 wins.

4 wins from that. Gives us 9 and a half for the season and probably a 10th-12th finish

If we miss the 8 I say sack Hardwick and go after Malthouse.

It is so disappointing we put in such poor efforts against the Dogs and Power. We could be sitting comfortably in the 8 right about now.
And you may not think I care for you
When you know down inside that I really do

Disagree - it's a POSSIBLE. Quicl start is the key IMHO

A disastrous decision, lack of loyalty and overall just stupid IMHO.

Nothing would give me greater pleasure WP but have you seen the Blues play lately.....no fluke that they sit in third.

I have gone to the AFL website and done their ladder & finals predictor thingy a number of times.....

Every chance that 2011 will be one of those years where true mediocrity is rewarded.....  10.5 wins will be good enough to finish 8th (or equal 8th)

I am certain 11.5 wins will guarantee a spot in the 8......possibly even 7th.

Currently Fremantle and Essendon hold the bottom two rungs of the 8.....both are looking decidedly wonky

If you have a spare moment do the ladder predictor. You may find we are in danger of "over achieving" in 2011  :P

geelong is always our bogey team, but we can beat the rest if we play our best

carlton and west coast are all beatable

what will beat the tigers is themselves, they need to get off to better starts and play passionate accountable hard footy

we can do it , make the 8 that is .

they just need to stay focused

Id prefer to be pessimistic about the rest of the season and wouldnt mind being pleasently surprised  ;)

Geelong, Hawks No chance
Eagles- better chance than the last two
Melb, they are pumped to win this one
Essendon would be on its 6th straight loss unless they beat hawks and geelong (unlikely) so we would easily be their drought breaker
Gold coast?? who knows- its in cairns and that worries me. By round 17 would be due for a win after most likely losing to bulldogs, freo and sydney at metricon.
Sydney- I think we can roll em in melbourne and payback too  :)
Melbourne, I think we can get em in this game should we not beat them in round 14 catch them off guard
Adelaide- we have to smash em from early on but is winnable
North, not so confident bout this- I believe it could be a deciding game for one of the sides to get into eight, not sure if us or them.
The anywhere, anytime Tigers.
