A possible reason Griffiths and co. were brought in is because Coburg have another bye this weekend. So those dropped will all get a week's rest.

I dont think a week rest was the issue
I think there form was insipid last week more like it

i think in concas case OE is spot on. given that griffiths didnt play a full game last week it's more than plausible that the coburg bye played a part in his selection this week.
