Rodan maybe out for season
« on: February 26, 2005, 07:18:18 PM »
Rodan injured his knee today and it appears that he might need a reco.  David king was on 3aw and was eluding to the worst case scenario.  Really bad news for Rodan as he's been playing some good footy lately.  All the best for a speedy recovery.  On the brightside, this might open the door for Foley, and hope he can take it with both hands.  Injurie like this do give others opportunities and can assist in developing depth, like it has at Port Adelaide of recent times.  Let's hope we can also.
Does anyone have half an idea on anything?

These things are sent to try us aren't they  :banghead. I have been pretty impressed with what I've seen of Tuck so far in the midfeild, maybe he'll be a revelation in there this year  :thumbsup

I believe Tuck must prove himself to some here...me not included.

I'm backing him - due for a winner!

Seems that way doesn't it  :scream and that we get hit just when we're improving but I guess all clubs cop this. Think of Port losing both Primus and Francou for 2 years yet they still won the flag. It all comes down to depth and list management and others standing up so you don't rely on only a few blokes.

Rodan on the mend

Rodan on mend
02 March 2005
Herald Sun

RICHMOND'S David Rodan was released from hospital yesterday after season-ending surgery on his injured right knee.

The onballer ruptured his anterior cruciate ligament during Saturday's practice match against Essendon at Morwell and had a knee reconstruction on Monday.

Rodan, 21, said yesterday he was keen to get started on his rehabilitation program as soon as possible.

"These sorts of things happen. I can't do anything about it," Rodan said.

"All I can do is worry about now and do the things that I can control like recovery."

-----------------

Rodan was interviewed on Sports Tonight and although you could see the disappointment in his face he put on brave face and was talking positive about his rehab and the future. All the best D-Rod. Given his small size it would be great if he could recover as quickly as Libba did a few years back.
