Oscars
« on: March 01, 2005, 05:00:54 AM »
Does anyone know of anyone who watches the whole 4 hours or however long the Oscars are? :help You normally hear who has won during the day anyhow! If I do watch any of it it's flicking on the tele for the last 20 mins when the main awards are handed out.

A female friend of mine mentioned the same type of actress predictably seems to win now - Blanchett, Paltrow, Kidman, Berry.

Congrats to Cate Blanchett on her award as well as not making an overdramatic and long acceptance speech.

MT,

Can we please move this discussion to the 'B-grade actors' thread (with any mention of the excellent morgan freeman excepted).

Thanks,

j

Now there's something funny - I actually watched about 20 mins of Denton with Fred and Mary - Really strange for me as I am so not into all that stuff but they came accross as quite down to earth people.

Good interview and Denton was the best person to do it.  Imagine if Rove had done it - what the?

As for the Oscars, I only cared that Cate won.  Chris Rock as the MC was enough to put me off.  And the new format of presenting awards as people's seats - what the?

Don't care about the oscars and don't care about the viking royals.

Did I mention that I really don't care?
Does anyone have half an idea on anything?

How come all the good actresses like Jenna Jameson, Monica Sweetheart and Anna Nova never win oscars?

I've got a funny feeling that if they ever did win, the statuette would appear (or dissapear as it were) in their next feature movie  :thumbsup

It's funny how the Danish royals are so popular in Oz and in the media spotlight while with the English ones it's almost a case of don't tell anyone we're here. Not much of a competition in the looks department that's for sure :thumbsup.
