2005 Milestones
« on: March 04, 2005, 08:20:57 PM »
As an AFL/Club support Member, i purchase the AFL Record Season Guide each year, it contains all the stats and infor on club history etc

As i browsed through the Richmond section i noticed the following milestones which will(i hope) occur this season:

Rd1 Mark Coughlan 50 games
Rd5 Darren Gaspar 200 games
Rd 6 Matthew Richardson 200 games
Rd 7 Kane Johnson, Mark Chaffey 150 games
Rd 9 Andrew Kellaway 150 games
Rd 13 Kayne Pettifer 50 games
Rd 20 Chris Hyde 50 games

These are dependant on these players playing all games up until this round.

Other things to note include:

Wayne Campbel(275 games)l will pass Matthew Knights(279) on the all time games for Richmond, if he plays 20 games for the season he will also pass Jack Titus(294) leaving Wayne 4th on the list at years end.

Richo needs 28 goals to pass Michael Roach and move into third spot on the clubs all time goal kicking record. Will he get to KB's 778, needs approx another 200. I would be suprised if he didnt.

Thats about all i could see for this season, but i would say it is the biggest year we have had for a while in regards to BIG games milestones with the likelyhood of 2 200's and 3 150's.

Cheers,

Bull

Our record in milestone games in recent times has been crap  :(. The only one I remember us winning from memory is Cambo's 250th.

I reckon for Richo to kick another 200 goals he will have to play for another 4-5 years without too many injuries.

Wayne Campbel(275 games)l will pass Matthew Knights(279) on the all time games for Richmond

I believe JohnF will be personally holding up the run-through banner then escort Cambo around the arena following on from his boy scout days helping the elderly ;D.

And if he's any chance of playing next year I'll be propping him up Weekend at Bernie's style to try and get him into the 300 games club.

Well he won't be the first Tiger used in that role. Richard "Bernie" Lounder was constantly seen leaning against the goal post at FF. Got 4 goals one day too  :o. There's hope for old Cambo yet  ;D.

Lose to the Cats and it's the Club's worst losing streak  :(. We've never lost 15 games in a row.

Also this year marks the longest gap between winning flags (and counting :P) and equals the biggest gap between GF appearances. So we've suffered over the past 25 years like no other Tiger supporters have suffered   :-\ :scream.
