Derickx ankle will be healed - he'll definitely be ahead of these 2 gumbies next year. If we land a mature ruckman in the trade period, Graham will be gone

Our rucks are truly crap when we put our faith in an untried mature age rookie :(
In all fairness to Browne and Gus, we havent had a mature ruckman to run with these blokes when they were developing.

We know very little about Derickx other than the few good things he was able to do during the preseason. From the reports I read earlier in the year about his Coburg form we shouldn't be getting to excited quite yet. Needs an injury free run first and developing and education second then we can start to judge whether he better than Browne and Gus.

God I hope so though  :pray

I expect to keep them both

I know which one I'd keep and which one I'd turf but seriously I reckon we'll keep them both

That's the reason I would have preffered Giles with his years of experience at Adelaide and in the SANFL.
We'll see more next year but Giles was named in the best players in pre-season games against experienced rucks.

Giles was on Port's books not Adelaide's. Got delisted after 4 years without playing a game because he couldn't crack it ahead of talent like Fabian Deluca, because he was unfit and lazy. Don't think that experience counts for much. Think he's learned more after he got the ass, TBH.
As for his SANFL days, only had that one good season at Sturt last year, before that I'd class him as an average player at Centrals.

He's been good again this year though for the Giants in the NEAFL  :thumbsup
Mountain of a bloke
