Nason could be Crows' answer Zac Milbank

September 13, 2011 RICHMOND'S Ben Nason is looming as a piece in Adelaide's compensation puzzle for ruckman Ivan Maric.
Should Maric choose to continue his AFL career at Tigerland, Nason has expressed interest in returning to SA via this year's trade week.
Nason, who chalked up 19 games in his debut season last year, fronted just four times for the Tigers this season.
"We'd be open to look at it because he's struggled to find a niche in the forward line of the Tigers," Nason's manager, Paul Connors, confirmed last night.
"He's out of contract and he's just had an operation to clean up his shoulder but there's no doubt (he would consider it).
"Adelaide might want a bit more (for Maric) but we'd be open to be part of any trade."
Nason, drafted from SANFL club Central District at pick No. 71 in 2009, boasts clean kicking skills as well as an ability to finish in front of goal. Whether he can push up the field to develop into the outside midfielder Adelaide is seeking remains the key question.
"Certainly there's some strong family influences back in Adelaide," Connors said.
