Rate a Tiger's year - 3. Brett Deledio?

Rating a Tiger's season time of the year.

For the fourth year in succession, Lids played all 22 games in the season to take his career tally to 150 matches which from memory makes him the youngest Tiger to reach the 150 milestone. As a half-back, Lids reached 30 or more disposals on seven occasions with his best efforts against Essendon in round 9 and Geelong in round 18  where he had 34. Lids finished the season runners-up in the B&F and was selected in the initial 40-man All-Australian squad.

I gave him an 8.
Thought Lids was uber consistant.
Deledio has improved the defensive aspect of his game under Dimma to be an excellent well rounded footballer.
One of our absolute best as shown in his runner up finish.
Loved some of his long bombs from outside 50 this year too.
Well done Lids.

Tossed up between an 8 and a 9 and ended up giving him a 9.  Has developed into a fine footballer now and probably the only thing I would like to see improvement in is his consistency over the 4 quarters of a game.  If he could achieve that then I think he would really start to influence games in a big way.

still missed to many crucial goals when has the chance to kick them and still fails to take the big marks when needed and decides to punch, needs to attack that ball harder at times, his defensive efforts have improved but he needs to hunt that ball like cotch and martin do , play with no fear

Oh bs, he takes contested marks out the mitts of bigger players on the run all the time!  One bloke you could never argue about taking a mark that he had no right to is Lids, he always pinches ones against bigger opponents and has a very safe pair of hands and holds his ground if he is under a widow maker.
Lots of people name their swords......

Leadership certainly stepped up in the 2nd half of the season.

I think Lids last two seasons under Dimma have arguably been his best since he came to Richmond. No doubt elite and maturing as a footballer.

His best all round season to date should culminate in AA honours tonight - especially after he was robbed of a rightful place last year to Harry O!

Love watching him combine in Play with some of our other truly talented footballers, getting more consistent in the last couple of years

Turning into an elite player in the comp. Unlucky not to make AA.
Probably his best year and yet it didn't win him a B&F which tells you of the quality developing around him.

Have no idea why people would want to trade him.
It's that simple Spud
"I discussed (it) with my three daughters, my wife and my 82-year-old mum, because it has really affected me … If those comments … were made about one of my daughters, it would make the hairs on the back of my neck stand up. I would not have liked it at all.”

Ranked him at 8

I believe he missed AA selection.
