Not even going to bother scoring him, simply must be traded, what we have seen of Edwards is about as good as it's going to get...IMO
DIMMA - You will be held ACCOUNTABLE...

“We are really excited about what we have brought in. We have got great depth of players that can take us where we need to go. We are just putting some cream on the top at the moment,” he said.

I think people are forgetting how good some of his best games have been.

Yes, his disposal can be questionable at times, but I think it is fair and reasonable to say it's only a minor issue.

5.5 from me.
Overall a disappointing year and I have been a staunch supporter.
Many forget he had a vastly interrupted pre season with shoulder surgery which may have been a reason for his poor start. Ended the year off much better but still was somewhat unconvincing.

Edwards biggest problem has always been consistency. He is capable of genius but equally makes fundamental mistakes that undoes much of his good work. Frustrating player.
Personally I can see why Dimma has persevered as Shane is a damn hard worker both ways and is well liked in the playing group. However the clock is ticking on his career and he needs to tighten up the difference between his best and worst in a real hurry.

He has one more season to do it IMO..

Gave him a 9. Excellent year, very damaging some games. Minor kicking deficiency, other wise a great season

I wouldn't call his momentum killing kicks and some of those misses at goal as a minor kicking deficiency.
Memo the Collingwood game and the Gold Coast game. How about his speccy against Essendon only to kick the ball 5 metres to a teammate who was tackled dispossessed and resulted in a goal. Watch them with both eyes not one.

Needs bulk a bigger tank and to do some gut running instead of prancing through games.
Just another pee wee flanker brought to the club by Wallet that gets monstered by the better opponents.

I think you may have made your mind up a long time ago and are not looking with both eyes yourself Tucker, I have seen him give good fend offs, ride some hits weave through tackles and win his own ball.  He is small and agile, if you start 'bulking him up' he will lose his agility, he is very quick off the mark which I have seen again and again when he intercepts marks or swoops on the ball meant for opposition players.  This is his job, not long distance running or brazillian jujutsu ala Tucky winning the hard ball on the deck against 3 opposition players.  He plays his role well for the most part just needs to tidy up the disposal and not spend it too early, he is quite capable just rushes it because he thinks he has to but they will beat that out of him soon.  He also doesn't shirk a contest where he probably knows he is gonna get himself a smack from a bigger bloke either so give the bloke some credit.

Owl,
The kid is a C grade AFL standard footballer at best and would not get a game on a regular basis in a top 4-6 club.
Unfortunantely for the most part it is players like Edwards who seem to evoke the "passion" among supporters and unfortunantely it is players like him that get given about 150 games at our club b/c we have such a poor list.
Has been in the system for 5 seasons and there are still many facets of hius game where he is still struggling. Had a very poor first half of the year and a few late season wins by the club glossed over his poor season IMHO.
Just another token undersized flanker brought to Punt Rd by the Wallace era.

As for the Brazilian Jujitsu maybe he should save it for a post AFL career.
