Can we never mention that quote again. Biggest misrepresentation ever. :lol :rollin :lol

Happy to see Ross Smith come to the club. Experience and a new perspective. Wonder what Leppa will be upto. Not that I have been disappointed with Leppa.

I think Gerks is onto the right path, Leppa is doing the one on one skills and Ross will be backline tactical perhaps.

Confirmed on RFC website: Tigers snare Ross Smith

http://www.richmondfc.com.au/news/newsarticle/tabid/6301/newsid/124304/default.aspx

Smith has joined Richmond on a three-year deal and will be in charge of the Tigers’ defensive structures and strategies.

“Ross is an excellent communicator, a great teacher and he’s been involved in footy a hell of a long time.  Importantly, he knows about the system that we’re trying to implement,” Hardwick said.

“He’s had the experience, similar to me, of how to build up a side and get them to where we need to go.

"The fact he’s experienced in that area, is going to be really valuable for us.”

Good news. Still interesting to see what Leppa does now. Hopefully he stays as a development defensive coach.

A good pick up by the club.
As Dimma said the experience he will bring is going to be great.

Yes Justin is still at the club. Ross is across Defencive Structure and Strategy whilst Justin will focus on the backline.

RFCO has stated on BF that Ross will be in charge of the defensive structure of the whole team while Leppa looks after the back 6 only.
